Nucks held court with the McOilies until the 3rd. 2 out of 3 is pretty good.

First... some good news.

Nucks don't play Oil for the rest of the year.

Bessie scored so Nucks only lost 4-2. Less embarrassing loss than the one in Winni. Would be nice for the Nucks to score more than 2 a game... But refs won't allow that in a rebuild season.

As scripted by the Homer Crew on HNIC and their refs, Oil score 1st in the 1st.

However, the well-scripted Oil PP was defeated. By the worst PK in the league.

Which means...

Just in case they didn't stop the game as per the Rebuild Rules, the Nucks after spending most of the period saving their shot mojo, finally went shot crazy.

Breeze gets an apple... Sassy with the sassy tip.

1-1 after 1. Not making it up.

The refs, the league, the HNIC broadcasting crew were horrified.

But still it got worse for them. No Oil goals were scored in the entire 2nd period. Oh, the horror!

Even worse, again the Oil PP failed to beat the worst PK in the league.

And more worser, Dry got a penalty. While on the PP! Shocking!

Draisaitl gets a penalty, goes "WTF REF I'M AN OIIIILER@!"

Canucks played a great 2nd. Shot count was close 9-7.

But still... after 40 mins of good, tight hockey, Nucks got surprised early in the 3rd, giving up the tie.

Worse, the super-duper-elite Oiled PP finally got a goal. 3-1 game.

With 4 mins to go, Manny bravely sought the tie, the Footie. Almost got the former on a sweet shot from Ronnie and sneaky tip from Brock. Of course, the EN was scored by Dry.

Nucks get called for icing, but it wasn't. Petey tipped the puck. But lyingman dinna see it.

Nucks lose the game. As expected. But played well for 40 and almost sort of got the game to OT.

It was a defeat with dignity.
