Losing Streak. 10 straight. And counting. Who's counting?

Nucks gave up what's his name's 500th and 501th point. So generous to former traitors. Or still current?

First... some good news.

Canucks won the 1st period!

On the shot clock, 10-3. Not the scoreboard. But went on to win the 3rd period. On the scoreboard!

We won't recap the 2nd period where the Nuck were outshot 16-3 and outscored by a couple.

In the 3rd, and Nucks still hadn't scored and we were thinking things that shouldn't be thought so soon in a rebuild. So we shut out those thoughts.

After switching off the shut out switch, Sassy scored on a stretch pass from Ronnie.

Finally some classic rock give 'n go between Brock and Petey results in a Brocket to bring the Nucks within 2.

Even better, Brock scored while what's-his-name didn't defend him.

In the final 3 minutes of the game, Manny pulled Merri and the Nucks did NOT give up an empty nester!

Even better, they kept the puck and pressure in the Minni zone. Pretty much. Didn't score, but ended with a push, not a whimper.

Let's try to find the pony shivering under the weight of rebuild crap.

The Nucks special teams... oh never mind. Wait! The Nucks PK did kill off a minute of 5-on-3 in the 3rd. So that was good. The 2 goals the Nucking PK gave up earlier in the game... we won't mention. Ever again.

As ever, NHL refs were issuing their standard issue bad/missed calls as per their ROG protocol.

Wild got 5 power plays. Nucks got 1. A single one. So fair and balanced.

What was that? Oh, right. We're staying positive in the fugly face of rebuild hockey.

Nucks didn't give up (too) easily and brought noise back into the ROG in the 3rd.

Payback Moment of the Game

- or would have been if the Traitor hadn't picked up those points.

Not the scoreboard payback we were hoping for. But on the bright side, Nucks are picking up more DuPoints, right?

Right. The ROG was chanting: “LANDON DUPONT!” which makes us either laugh or cry. Or both.
