Canucks hung with the champs through 2 periods. Tied 2-2 after 1 and 3-3 after 2.

After 3 is not something we can speak of at this point in the rebuild.

If this was a playoff game, the Nucks would have won. What? Sure, it's been a long time since I've seen a playoff game, but pretty sure with Tiktok attention span of fans, the league's plan is smart to limit playoff games to 40 minutes.

Nucking PK was perfect in 10 mins of no GA hockey.

Karlsson got his goal a minute(-ish) after the PK ended. Sasson got his 30(-ish) seconds after the PK ended.

Maybe getting penalties isn't so bad...?

Yes, it would have been nice to see the Nucks continue ketchup hockey until the final buzzer of the 3rd, but this game wasn't about winning it. It was about remembering Cheech.

And we did.

We could whine and wine about the Nucks poor defensive coverage on some Canes goals... but we won't.

Eesh...oleksiak needs gets himself into no man's land with some lazy play, puck in the net.

Deslauriers, 3rd rounder (#84) from 2009 is added to the extended Nucking nemesis list.

Watching ketchup hockey is fun! Until the elite 3rd rounder breaks the narrative.
