In the 1st 6 games of this 'Fivealry', the Nucks owned the league's newest 3/4 of a billion franchise.
Those were the days.
These days, the Krak have won 2 tilts. However, this is their 1st win in the ROG. So, that's not so bad.
What is bad, is this was a minimum effort garbage time game. Garbage time played on the ROG garbage ice.
These last group of end of season games are ones where it seems most of the players are just not interested in winning or scoring or taking too many shots.
However, Pete and the game thread still want to play.
Petey with the nice reverse blade-tip shot between the legs!

1-zip Nucks in the 1st and the Nucks are rolling - towards another goal. Not making it up.
Great play by Gnarls to Beau

It's 2-0 Nucks. And their work is done with over 40 minutes remaining. That's Nucking efficiency.
Unfortunately that newbie team headed to the 2nd season, wasn't packing in the game. They get a 'soft' goal on Deals and it's 2-1 Nucks after 1. That's not so bad.
The bad part, as is ROG tradition, is the 2nd period. Where the ROG ice isn't getting better.
And neither is the Nucking PP. Who keep striving for that fabulous record of giving up the most short handed goals.
2-2 Krak.
But Nucks get a 5-on-3 - that gets them back into the game.
Keystone Kops Kanucks
Whatever you do...never shoot on a 5 on 3. Make sure you make it the prettiest goal ever or it doesn't count
82wino
No pretty goal, no getting back into the game.
Then Nuck-killer Eberle pots a goal, because why not? And to finish up the special period, the Nucking PK gives up a goal.
4-2 Krak after 2.
The poor ROG ice isn't ready for another period, what about the Nucks?
ROG ice reflective of the team…
Rob Scott
With that easy feeling oozing across the poor ROG ice, the Nucks pursue the single shot to rue them all. Just have to wait for it. And wait we did. Low event hockey is just what the visiting Krak'ems want. And the Nucks are always gracious hosts.
By the 7 minute mark, the Nucks had the single shot and had to wait for their next big chance.
It arrived, surprisingly on the PP. 4 minutes of nail-biting - would they allow another shortie or wouldn't they?
They didn't. But also didn't get a shot on net. Although, Gnarly did put one off the bar. That's pretty good.
2nd game in a row the Nucks are barely capable of generating offense... just 13 shots and we're 5 mins from the end....

Finally, the Nucks put the game out of reach. Letting the visitors get the EN. 5-2 Kraking us up.
ROG HOPPING CHEECH VIDEO
Still fun to hear the 2 Johns calling the meek Nucking hockey. Good while it lasts. Unlike watching the Nucks.

ROG REPRESSING
Millsie was upset about team performance last game - was he happier about this tame loss?
The good news about this terrible game is the Nucks kept their top 9 ranking. The bottom 9 ranking. Even better, the truly lackluster Cowtown Flickers were defeated by the Fawks. Not only was this good news for us - but terrible news for the Fawks who dropped 14% in their lotto odds. Ouch! But still... Gary may still find a way to exile CB to a windy city.
Only 5 more mean-nothing games to go. That's gotta mean something. But this game?
Let's find out.
