NUCKS ROG GOAL QUOTA EXHAUSTED AS THE NUCKS
A MUST WIN GAME LOST. BADLY.
Nucks have played worse home games. Lost 6-0 to Jersey early in the season. This is the 2nd worst blowout loss in the ROG. At the worst time of the season. Oh well. We dinna want no stinkin' playoffs.
Nucks didn't give it their best - they left that in Winterpeg. Got 2 PP chances in early in the 1st. Futile chances, not unexpected, but still an eerie foreshadowing of a zero-goal outing.
We know the Nucks are cooked, baked, fried and now sautéed in a bland flavourless sauce of loser broth.
1ST
Nucks blew their PP chances early.
Then Nucks luck took a turn for the worse. Jake blows a pass outside his b-line, a Krakling scoops up the puck and blasts a shot past Demko 5-hole.
Eysseimont taking advantage of that nothing drop.
Go to your room, Jake. No, the other one. Sheesh,
Thursday
Nucks take a late penalty and their best scoring chance was on the PK. Still didn't score,
Nucks trail 1-0 after 1. And they're about to trail more and more.
2ND
Nucks keep trying to score. But don't.
Instead... Kraklings break up ice and Demmer shrinks into his net and the puck goes past him top shelf.
Later in the period... same type of play happens again and Demko gets beaten up top.
3-0 Kraklings after 2.
3RD
Nucks are looking more tired. As if they know the season is over. But the game isn't.
Since it's the Canucks, it can always get worse.
And does.
Kraklings get another goal on Demmers while he's, again, channeling his inner Arty.
4 minutes left, Nucks down 4 goals, Taco pulls Demko. So the Nucks can get more reps giving up the EN?
Don't know. Don't care. Seatown wins 5-0 in the ROG.
Embarassing loss? Sure.
Worse, Mysie doesn't play the last half of the 3rd, because he was injured earlier and now has a BC Faeries boarding pass.
Man, this game is such a blowout that I feel like I was there in person!
-- Thursday
Devastating. Or great metaphor of the season. Either way. Or both ways. Ugh.
OBSERVATIONS
Nucks season was on the line. The remaining players not on BC Faeries seemed to appreciate that. And unable to respond to that pressure. As the game wandered further out of reach, Nucks tried harder, but frustration doesn't enhance team skill. Demmer's having one of his worst games of the season wasn't a good combo either. This depleted Nucks roster was out played and out scored by the carefree, spoiler team playing with almost all their top players. Sigh.
Capt'n Huggie logged 27 minutes... led the team with 9 shot attempts, 1 on goal, 4 blocked and 4 missed.
The sky is pouring...
The team needs to win their last 8 and they lose like this at home in game 1. A perfect ending to what has been one of the worst seasons I’ve ever had the displeasure of watching. #Canucks

It’s desperation mode and the #canucks can’t even put together a good effort against the Kraken.

Some #Canucks fans in the lower bowl chanting "J-T Miller" as the clock winds down on this game.

Keep Taco and Brock or ?
I’m starting to understand why the #canucks brass hasn’t extended Boeser and Tocchet and likely won’t. Boeser is a shadow out there and I don’t think Tocchet has anything to offer this team other than stupid slogans that don’t mean sh!t.

Fully spent?
#canucks Well, I watched the whole game. 2 observations: 1. The team looked like they were emotionally spent. 2. With this lineup, they simply just aren’t good enough End of observations

Are the #canucks the division winning team of last year? Or the shit-show of this year? The answer is probably somewhere in the middle. Which equates to a middling, mediocre team. Just out of the playoffs or fighting for the last wild card spot. The mushy middle is where they’ve always been.

Vancouver/Seattle #Canucks Star 1. Tyler Myers. Simply astonishing to see Myers at even plus/minus in 5-0 loss. Game Note: Demko must have lost his taste for peanut butter, since he left the top shelf open for a Kraken feeding frenzy.

Anything else? Yes!
This horrible, injury-stuffed, over-drama-stuffed season is almost over.
Video Rehash
It's Shortie and Dave calling this vital game where the Nucks failed to find the vital button.

PLAYERS 'N TACO TALK
Tired and frustrated, Capt'n Huggie not making excuses.
M-Petey knows the frustration too.
Taco says some same old tired nervous things, need poise, lots more poise... we know the feeling.
This would have been an easier loss if the Nucks had scored, you know a few goals. Or even one, just take the horrible edge off the horrible feeling.
Anyhow, with nothing to play for, we can look forward to the Nucks going on winning streak to finish the season and miss the playoffs. So Canucks.
