This was a scheduled win. Even back in early November when we wondered if the next scheduled win would be won.
9th straight game the Nucks have beaten, defeated and chewed up the Sharklets. Good beat down on a hockey club trending into the gutters of hockey oblivion. They still have a chance to beat CBJ to the final spot of shame. What if they do? *Shivers*
Nucks lost Wolanin couple minutes in - was hurt and didn't return. Time for new D, Ronnie, to shine. And he did.
Meanwhile... the Nucks score on their 1st shot of the game. From Millsie's department of goalie-freezing laserated shot shooting.
Then the Top Line played Tic-Tok-Kuz scores! Apples from Pete and new Beau.
Kuz out of dog house.
Rob Scott
Will new Beau he be old Beau next season? Will he even be here next season? There's half of a hockey team sitting around the barn at the Faery Farm.
Still in the 1st, it's the token Shark goal - from a nice steal and setup from Karlsson. Who wasn't traded to the Nucks at the deadline, like most none of us expected. Not too late for the Sharks to dive to bottom with pizzazz and put Erik on waivers - we could pick him up. Pretty sure wino82 would be willing to drive across the Pacific to pick him up in SJ.
With less than a second left in the period, the game is already out of reach for the tiny Ribbontail Cat Sharks. Josh dekes Reimer and it's 3-1 Nucks after 1. Game Winner right there.
0.4 second goal..nice
Westy
Despite the fact that the game is over - over and won for the Nucks - the paying customers at the ROG demanded moar goals! And get 1 in the 2nd from Gnarland. Assist from Myers and Kuz.
Weirdly, Myers had more points than Pete and Huggie in this game. That's how bad the Sharks have become. Myers gets 2 points and finishes the game with a plus 1.
In the 3rd, the Nucks up the absurdity after the very shocking and sad moment we watched during the 2nd intermission. More about that sad part later.
Nucks PP gets their 5th chance to get score. Previous 4 powerless plays were dismal. They could have changed the futile narrative. Instead they want to go for the season record. Short-Handed Goals Against. Nucks are now tied with Detroit for that prestigious record. Great work. Also didn't score on that historic 5th PP.
Doesn't matter.
Because 5-on-5, the Nucks are dominating sorry fish team. Podz pots a Reimer-freezing shot. Barely a minute later Di Giuseppe tipped a Huggie shot past the shot-shocked Reimer. It's 6-2 Nucks and everyone - or at least someone wants more.
7-2 would have a nice ring to it…
Rob Scott
Not only is it 7-2 Nucks in the final minute of the wipeout game - it's a shortie from Dries.
Again the Nucks are #1 in league stats that count. Tied with McEdmonton for the most shorties this season. Nucks this season have set all kinds of records.
ROGGING IT VID
It is with great sadness that we heard tonight this season is the last for Cheech in the broadcast booth. The 2 Johns have been our goto team - especially when the Nucks in the past decade had less go to go for.
Everyone, possibly including Westy, will miss Garret when he hangs up the headset in a short 11 games. Cheech has been the highlight of sportynet for 20 years. We wish you free ketchup everywhere you go, John.

ROG BEATDOWN PRESSERS
Franchise record breaking Kuz is happy to share his happiness with the media.
Meet the new guy. Hronek. Elite RHD? We'll see. Had a good game - in a 5D tilt.
TikingTok is counting his win column - against highly regarded San Jose (of 2011).
It was a game the Nucks were destined to win. A blowout win ain't so bad this time of year - other than it's the wrong time of the year.
Still as much fun as was to watch the Nucks play what seemed like a pro level, it was tough listening to the best broadcast team in hockey reveal the band is breaking up.
11 more chances for us to enjoy the 2 Johns. Is there a way to keep Cheech?
Let's find out.
