What a difference a huge win makes. At least we hope it does.

IN A SINGLE GAME!

Uncertain if this was only the 2nd or 3rd time this season the Nucks scored 6 goals. It's been too long.

Second time this season the #Canucks have scored six goals in a game. The first time was on October 22 also against the Blackhawks.

1ST

Capt'n Huggie opens the scoring with his drive down the boards and scores - low glove side.

A minute and change later, Sherwood skates into the O-zone drops the puck for Mysie, who skates downtown and scores - low glove side.

Nucks score 2 goals on only 4 shots! The fancy statsmaticians might claim something about 50% - but all we know is that if the Nucks can score on half their shots, we'll be rich! Or at least those that play Score 'n Win.

2-zip Nucks after 1 and the game is won. Pretty much.

2ND

Mid-second and Gnarly puts the game away. No, really. But we didn't know that yet.

After a quick pass thru the middle, Gnarland carries the puck over the B-line, passes to Hoagie, who passes it back to Gnarly and Gnarland roofs a backhand GWG.

It's 3-1 Nucks and the Nucks are carrying the play and look to keep the little Fawkers off the scoresheet.

But, Nucks are playing a little soft and late in the period, Arty lets in a goal - a screened goal, but still.... nervy for those of us remember he only had 1 win all season.

Doesn't matter.

Nucks lead 3-1 after 2 with the safest lead in hockey.

3RD

With the ROG rocking, we were feeling pretty good about the Nucks chances. Still be fun to watch a gamebreaker break open the game. And we weren't disappointed.

Petey and Hoagie both score! Kind of.

Petey's snipe was so quick and snappy, in/out of the net the refs didn't notice. And Torahhna HQ were napping. So, Hoagie had to make sure and scored on the out from Pete's goal.

Before the next center ice faceoff, some officials somewhere noticed that Pete scored first, so Hoagie's extra goal didn't count. Had to settle for the assist.

4-1 Nucks. But a minute and a bit later, the ROG had to witness Arty giving up another goal - high glove side. An unscreened GA.

Doesn't matter. Nucks are still buzzing. Especially the bottom 6.

Nucks ain't sitting back. They're pushing for the next goal. Which is a beaut for Aman's 1st of the season from an amazing no look between the legs pass from Sherwood.

Not enough time to type the Nucks lead 5-2, as 8 seconds later, Suter scores on a great tic-tac-toe play from Josh and Gnarland.

Nucks lead 6-2 over the frustrated little Fawkers.

We're all whooping and woooing and then the cheapshot part of the program devolves. Dickheadson blind-sides Chytil into the boards. Filip crumbles to the ice. Can't get up. No call.

This hit by former Canucks Jason Dickinson from behind on Filip Chytil was high and didn’t give Chytil any time to protect himself. Chytil went to the locker room right after that #Canucks #Blackhawks #NHL

Chytil gets up and goes right down the tunnel. No word on his condition.

Delightful 6-2 win. Fun game to watch. Other than that stupid goon show from an old player trying to impress for a new contract. Needs a suspension, not a contract.

OBSERVATIONS

EP40. Scored another goal. Has 4 goals in his last 5 games. Has his swagger back and looks reinvigorated.

Hoagie is rewarded with 2 points and an insurance goal. Sort of. Great to see him on the scoreboard. He's earned it.

Gnarland was the game's 1st star with a goal and an assist. Kief and Teddy both picked up 2 points each.

And Huggie was amazing. Like he never left for BC Faeries tour.

Brock, again, was MIA and a -1. DeBusk had no points and no shots.

However, when the 31st and 32nd teams lead the league in the lowest the shot counts, can't be expending extras.

The sky is clearing some space over the ROG for rainbows, kittens and possibly puppies.

Six goals?? That's three kittens. This is out of control. #Canucks

Since Dickhead never saw another shift after his dirty hit, Nucks had to send a message to the Fawkers - 5 Nucks on one future superstar.

Solid game over a weak team, but beyond the score, the team played well - mostly. Got a bit sloppy 4-on-4 and paid for it, but otherwise full value for the 6-2 score. Fingers crossed for Filip Chytil, given his history. And turning attention to Utah. The playoff spot is there - go get it! #Canucks
