Welcome back, NM! To the new NM!
We completed our inaugural (beta) game thread without crashing the server. Unlike the Nucks who crashed their Bedard betting odds. Again.
Kuz gets the 1st goal of the game and the Nucks 1st lead early in the 1st. A lead they never gave up. Not making it up.
But, didn't start that way. This was a MUST WIN game. For the Sens. Who are hopelessly chasing a wildcard spot. We know how that feels.
Ottawa with a couple early chances and then Demko says no.
- Westy
Early action is mostly Ottawa
But then, the Nucks and the most cheerful player in hockey put the Nucks in the winner's (loser's?) bird seat.
Miller hitting everything and Kuz gets a goal
- Westy
Nucks lead 1-zip after 1.
Then early in the 2nd, the world's worst PK gets another freakin' shortie! From Millsie, of course.
Ok, you're thinking that's enough showboating for the legendary Nucking PK. But again, they kill the penalty and get a goal. Who are these guys?
We don't know. And then the unexplainable occurred again. Nucks score again! GWG from Aman!
3-zip Nucks after 2. How can that be?
Yet in the 3rd, Nucks aren't stopping with the ceremonial victory. They're going for the real thing. That's just great. If this was October. Not a Dries eye in house.
Sens finally put a couple past Demmers, but too little too late. We know how that feels.
The happiest player in hockey who opened the scoring, finishes it. Kuz with the EN goal!
For the FIRST time in the season, Nucks are on a FOUR GAME heater. Great timing. Where were these guys in October?
Oh, right... playing for a different coach. Some for a different coach on a different team. And now fake Demmers has been replaced by almost-bubble Demmers. And the faeries taking OEL off to the farm to count the multi-millions.
So... this is a different roster with a different coach. A team that appears to be playing better with and without the puck. Playing for a coach who likes to reminisce about his winning ways in the desert. You can't make this stuff up! I know, I've tired.
Schlocky Night In Canada Vid
The hyperventilating calling the shots. That's HNIC.

ROGGING PRESSER
Nils with GWG gets the winning presser session.
RikTok praises his improved players, the improved system and thinks back to the glory years in the desert.
There it is. In the last 4 games, Nucks have played better, had better goaltending and defending - rewarded with the longest winning streak in this much lamented season.
With this win the Nucks are now the 25th best team in the NHL. That's good, right? But not nearly good enough or bad enough. Squishy middle hockey. We know all the squishy bits all too well. But what if...
Can we pull another 1982 and win 17 games in a row and make the playoffs
82wino
Oh... that's a provocative, an evocative thought. Inspiring or ridiculous?
Let's find out.
