THIS IS WHY WE LIKE LOVE ROAD HOCKEY
Beating the Fawks on the road is fun. Beating them decisively is even more fun. I know, these ain't the old douchebag Fawks, and the Nucks have now beat them 8 straight games... but still...
3 Consecutive Road Wins
This road trip started poorly with the 1st regulation loss of the season. The only regulation loss of the season, because the Nucks beat the Cats in OT, shutout Philly and gave the windy city skaters the gas.
Nucks just about ties a team road record early in the 1st. Just 21 seconds in, on the 1st shot of the game, Nucks homegrown Heinen scores.
WOOOOO! HEinan FTW! Sherwood involved...
Twitch
5 minutes later, Nucks on the PP and 'injured' Miller scores with from the Huggie hop off the end boards. But then something something happens and little Fawkers are on the board too. Grrr...
Doesn't matter. Minute later and Ronnie puts a shot on skate and Heinen scores again.
But wait! Period ain't over. And Gnarly needs a goal. For reasons. Huggie puts a shot on goal, JT tips it, Pete shovels the puck to Gnarly and it's 4-2 Nucks after 1.
4 goals in the first....4 more in the 2nd please
Westy
Unfortunately, due to the poor sound and telepathy gear in the windy rink, Nucks didn't get Westy's request. And no Nucking or other goals were scored in 15 minutes of wasted time/space stuff.
Nucks still lead 4-2 after 2.
Mid 3rd, Nucks get another PP and another PP goal! I know, I know, haven't seen multi-PP goals since the very beginning of the season... which is a long time ago. Or feels like it.
Not even 30 seconds later, Suter takes advantage of a lucky bounce and pounces on the puck. 6-2 Nucks. Game is over. But... refs have to give the home crowd some false hope and the Fawks get a 5-on-3 PP goal. Meh.
Hawks score on a 5 on 3....thanks refs

Nucks win 6-3 in the style we became accustomed to last season. WOOOOOOOO!!!
OBSERVATIONS
Lankinen holding the fort!
Atty
What a road-trip. This game was practically a snoozer. Bedard....M.I.A. Probably one of his worst games. He looked kind of disinterested.
Great team road game. Nucking PP went 2 for 3, so small miracles on road ice. All the players were engaged, even Pete.
New D, Brannie, played great, confidently skated the puck out of the zone. Good in the O-zone too - got an apple on Suter's extra, extra, extra winning goal.
How was our minimum wage goalie?
Well...for the 4000 people lurking, I will say that Lankinen was a great signing. For all of the great play Silovs had in the playoffs, he is not as NHL ready as we thought. Lankinen is not a top 20 NHL goalie, but he has the experience and skill to play a better angle game than Silovs.
Westy
Gnarly is playing his best hockey. So are Bess, JT, Huggie. Blueger, Sherwood (leading the league in hits) and Heinen are really starting to gel. 4th line tonight played proper pin-the-puck-on-the-boards hockey - in the correct zone.
Anything else? Yes!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

PLAYER POINTS (so many)
PLAYERS 'N TACO TALK
Heinen popping pucks and pressers.
JT not bringing his A game to the presser. Even better, knows the Nucks need to play team D much better.
Capt'n Quinn on the mic.
Taco Talks Tough about being happy with some PP goals, but gotta still cleanup up the middle.
Nucks finish their eastern road trip with their 3rd consecutive win. Some say that qualifies as a 3-game winning streak. They'd be correct. But still... bigger win streaks are bigger and better when extended at home. Nucks back in the ROG on Saturday to host JR's old timer's kids' team. Nucks can be really poor hosts and Taco Tough their way to another win.
