Nucks start the 4 Reasons break with a 3 game win streak! Wooo!

Canucks have a 10-1-0 record in their last 11 home games against the Maple Laffs.

We didn't get Quinn back, but we may have got a taste of actual EP40. But we may have lost Demmers again. So Canucks.

1ST

Nucks were pretty feisty to start. The more aggressive team early.

Even better, EP40 was the most engaged we've seen him in ummm... a long time. He changed the tone of the game with a wicked reverse hit on Ben-wa.

A moment later on the same shift, OG Petey setup Ronnie for the 1st goal of the game.

That's the GWG! That lasted almost 40 minutes!

However, during the commercial break 10 minutes into the game, Demmers goes to the bench and takes himself out. Why?! We don't know,

Only down a goalie, Canucks lead 1-0 after 1.

2ND

Nucks with the insurmountable 1 goal lead, they can coast a little. Get outshot 14-6 in the period. But Lanky is keeping them in it.

Until the final 5 seconds of the period after the Nucks PK had killed off a critical penalty. 5 freaking seconds to go and with several bodies in front of Lanky a shot gets through and the HNIC broadcast team scream like they just won the world cup of shouting.

The beatify of being a foreigner watching hockey (since 1993) is I can openly be an iconoclast & see that the emperor has no clothes. These two suck John Shorthouse is the best caller of the game of hockey, end of. #Canucks #Leafs

3RD

In the 3rd we might expect the Nucks to protect the tie, but instead they're pushing. Pushing to exceed the tie? Seemed like.

Near mid period the Nucks get their 2nd PP. And the last one they'll need. As OG Fillip gets the puck to new Fillip who passes to Brock who sweeps a wrister past Wollie who was screened by Myers. His own Myers, not ours.

Nucks lead 2-1 with only too many nail biting minutes left. But they don't sag and we weren't worried. Not until the last few minutes when this happened..

No worries. Despite the extra pressure, Lanky steals the game away from Austin and his high scoring ways.

With the Laffing net empty, M-Petey was having fun going for the EN goal... almost on the goal line.

Nucks win 2-1 over the CoTU in the ROG! And defy, nay desecrate HNIC talking points, so they just cut away to the Sens game. Losers.

Doesn't matter. Game thread is going hysterical.

The season sweep of Torahna is complete.

Great game. For the team and EP40 especially. Is he regaining form? We'll see.
