We and the rest of the universe made it through the CoTU homer intermission - and we're ready for the 2nd period where the Nucks will push out for the 6-nothing lead.

When 6'8" Myers screens Demko... well.. Nylinger scores. 3-1 Nucks.

No worries. Didn't expect to shutout the eleventeen million dollar CoTU winger. Altho... Nucks did keep Austin off the goal songs list.

However, 3 minutes later, Nucks don't cover the trailer and a slappy Leafy pass gets past Demmers. 3-2 Nucks. No worries. The Taco Tough Nucks love their one goal leads after 2.

But then... a minute later... the Nylthingie scores again... with an unneeded tip from Soucy. Gamethread are not worried.

Taco takes his timeout. Bag skates the team for a full minute and calms them down. In the last minute of the period our 'just another 3rd line' goes out and does their chaos stuff - the right kind of chaos.

No worries. Nucks leading after 2 is the stuff of league legends. Or NM legends. Can't remember which.

Doesn't matter. What matters is getting through the 2nd intermission without too much heaving from the CoTU praising the CoTU. And we did... and Juice got a little comment on the big play of Gnarly.

Nucks start the 3rd well. And so does Kuz. And gamethread is handing out roses, not thorns this shift.

Nucks get on the PP and it's looking good. For Marner, who scoops a lazy Pete to Bess pass, breaks in on Demmers and scores. That's not the PP look we were looking for.

Pete is PO'd. On the next Nucks PP a few minutes later as the Leave-it-to-Crosschecking team is on another PK - Pete redeems the lazy pass, as he passes to Huggie. Huggie shoots the puck at JT's skate. JT's skate scores the GWG! 5-4 Nucks.

Nucks PP isn't finished. The deflection goal is the game theme song, for those with the weird deflective ears. This time it's Huggie to Miller. Miller's shot pass to Sneaky Pete. 6-4 Nucks with barely 10 minutes to play.

Of course as the Leaving and Losing in Lostcouver Leaves aren't getting the extra attacker goal - something must be done, Serge, something must be done! Refs have to step in and level the ice by tilting it. Twice over.

Demko was Vezina good that last half of the period. Just stopping frickin' everything. Stick no stick, off the mask, point blank saves one after the other. Awesome stuff.
