LOSE 2 GOAL LEAD IN THE 3RD - YET STILL GET THE WIN!

Nucks claw back a victory from the jaws of seeming defeat. So, that's good.

Nucks give up the 1st goal in the 1st. Because... their record is way better giving up the 1st one.

It's the 2nd shot of the home pledgers and puck trickles through Demmers in a Marky sort of way.

However, being down a goal means the Nucks can play the comeback card. And do.

Speedy, smart and sassy, Sasson scores after some hard leg work from Hogz.

1-1 tie after 1. Might as well go straight to OT. But rules... and stuff.

In the 2nd, Demmers is playing much better and determined to not allow another goal against. And doesn't. That's good.

However, he has a collision with Juuls and has to leave the game. That's bad.

Yet at the same moment Demko is walking down the hall with rumoured back spasms, the Nucks score! Setup for a breakaway from PDG, Gnarly dekes Loosebower for the lead.

Meanwhile cold Lanky is making stone cold saves and get warmed up real fast.

Late 2nd, Nucks hem the Kraks in their own end for nearly 4 minutes. Lotsa chances and net front chaos, but no goals. Oh well.

2-1 Nucks after 2.

Nucks have the lead going into the 3rd. What could go wrong?

Nothing. Yet.

Instead, the Nucks extend their 3rd period lead... that's good.

Brock is winning the board battle, Millsie and DeBrusk setup.... wait for it... setup Myers for the goal. Yay!

The gamethread had some hope. False or otherwise. And then Mr. Miffler takes a penalty while in the O-zone. And of course the Nucks PK gives up a goal.

No worries.

Until the inevitable 6-on-5 for the SeaScorers.... Dun De Dun Dun shot gets past Lanky due to Myers and Gnarly screening Lanky.

3-3 tie. Ugh. Again. Nucks give up a multi-goal lead in the 3rd. Not the consistency we were looking for.

We're going to OT. Again. Where the loser point is likely all we get.

Except it's not... because Nucks don't lose in OT. Or win.

We're going to the skillz portion of the program. No, really.

Lanky stops all the SeaSkillers. However... Millers pots his shot and the Nucks win 4-3! No, really.

It wasn't easy. Sure didn't look easy, but the D-pleted, D-Demmers, D-Peted Nucks win 2 points on the road!

OBSERVATIONS

The Nucks no Huggie/no Ronnie D-corp played pretty good. Breeze played well, his 1st game since March 2023 - broke up a 2-on-1 and made no terrible gaffs. Desh made some mistakes early, but got better as the game went on. Even got a shift in OT. No, really

Forbort picked up a point on Gnarland's goal. Myers was playing smart and got the temporary winning goal. Although... screening Lanky late wasn't great.

Gnarland got the most ice time as the Nucks best forward - nearly 5 minutes more than JT.

Sasson was the next spunkiest motor. The kid can skate and is getting more confident around the net.

Hoagy had a great game. His bulldozer motor was going. Got an assist and almost 2 goals. Taco praised him in the presser.

Anything else? Yes!

We got the win we really, really needed. Not pretty, but a win is always prettier than the alternative.

They'll be keen to maintain their undefeated in 2025 record. And Lanky will be facing his old team and keen to make them regret not signing him to a nice juicy contract. A big juicy contract the Nucks will be keen to offer.

Try to enjoy the next half of the season. Also... tell BC Faeries to go sailing in Vegas or Edmonton for a change.
