Nucks last ROG game of the year. That's good.
Another collapse in the final minutes of the 3rd = Loss in OT.
Doesn't matter if Pete or Quinn aren't available, Nucks can still step up to get a 4-1 lead early 3rd and give it up late 3rd and lose game early in OT. Consistency is its own reward.
Just to give us some false hope for the new year, Nucks get a PP goal in the 1st and lead 1-0 after the 1st.
In the 2nd, Nucks turn over the puck in the Krakling zone and the rush comes up ice... Myers and Forbort are backing in to cover the shooter. Demmers has a clean view of the shot. What could go wrong?
Nothing, except miscalculates the angle, the velocity and NM watching.
Well...there you go... I start watching and we blow the lead...

Doesn't matter. Gnarly escapes the box, breaks in on goal and scores. His 1st in many games.
And Brock scores from a feed from Soup who is pre-making up for his bad clear in the 3rd.
3-1 Nucks after 2 and totally in control of the game.
Early 3rd and Nucks extend the lead on DeBrusk's 16th of the season.

And this ends the Nucks good part of the game.
I'd cover in more detail the horrible last few minutes of the game where the visitors score 3 unanswered goals due to the Nucks mucking about and not locking down the game like the did last season. Last season Nucks had one of the best records in the league when leading in the 3rd.
This Nucks isn't that team. And worse, this team has forgotten how to win in OT.
That was a sad-sack loss.

At least the Nucks have joined a rare group of record setters.
....and it happened ony the 3rd time in the history of NHL. Losing the game after leading 4:1 and within 5 minutes of the end of regulation 60 minutes.

What's to observe? A similar pattern of not playing the full 60? The Nucks D needs some better D-stuff?
