NUCKS GET ANOTHER BIG WIN - FOR LANK - FOR US!!!
It's a freak of NHL scheduling. A nightmare morning game for those Canucks who play on the wet coast.
However, this isn't your ROG Nucks. This is the road team. They are immune to time zones and ridiculously early start times.
As we know from watching 20+ games thus far, all 1st periods for the Nucks start too early anyhow.
Doesn't matter if it's a Sunday morning hockey prayer meeting or a Saturday night tilt when proper pro hockey is played, the Nucks get their game on after trailing after one period.
So... it's 1-0 Wingdings after 1.
However, the Nucks start the 2nd on a 5-on-3 PP. Facing the worst PK in the league, possibly the world.
Within seconds, not making it up, Huggie to Pete, Pete to the front of the net, DeBrusk tips it under Tailbot.
But wait! There's still another Det penalty left to not kill. And they don't. 43 seconds after scoring, the Nucks take the lead. Huggie puts a shot on net, DeBrusk puts the rebound past former road winstreak goalie. 2-1 Nucks.
However, the Nucks 2nd safest (12 safest?) lead in hockey is broken by some Winger as the Nucks PK picked the wrong moment to emulate the worst PK in hockey, just after the penalty expired. Of course, it was Hogz who took a gratuitous O-zone penalty while Taco was scowling. And scowled some more after Hogz cross-checked the ref in protest.
Tied up at 2. That's ok, since Suter the Scooter Shooter scores with the Nucks 2-on-1.
Suter is a beast!

3-2 after 2.
Early in the 3rd, Nucks PK, not the worst in the league gives up a goal. Note: Deshar on the PK is a dangerous risk when the puck get near his skates, bad things can happen, and did.
All tied....bad pk, unable to clear
Westy
Somehow, even though we knew it wouldn't work, Taco challenges the goal. Nucks right back to work on the PK. And works like the 10th best PK in the league.
However, despite the perky mood in the gamethread, the Wingdingers are breaking in and Terrorsinko sinks a shot.
Annnnd detoilet scores. Casper makes our whole team look like chicago before a nice passing play.
Twitch
That's it. The Nucks are playing like it's the 1st and the perky gamethread mood takes a turn for worse.

But, it's not the 1st, it's the 3rd. On the road. And you know what that means. You do don't you?
Nucks press and Huggie-light scores!
WOOOOO! Brannstrom from Petey!

We're off to OT to double up our loser point.
The OT 3-on-3 Nucks played the perfect possession game through 4 minutes of OT. Again.
Once the tired Defoiled got the puck, and made a scoring attempt, they called a timeout to rest up their big guns. Big mistake. As the Nucks big guns got a rest too.
Nucks regain puck possession, which is 99% of OT Law.
Pete heads up ice, drops to Jake and blamo! It's a DeHattie for the win!!!
Hattie for Jake! Pretty sure I called that…
Chicky
Nucks win 5-4 in OT! Road Redemption Again!
Never let Debrusk leave the road....or the Canucks

What a gutsy, winning effort against the NHL morning schedulers and BC Faeries.
I watched this game Sunday night, as it is supposed to be watched.
Atty
But I lost my voice when Jake scored the winner. This game had an "L" written all over it, if you asked anybody in the morning.
What a sweet win!
OBSERVATIONS
Finding a way to win. And for Lanky, setting a new record. Most consecutive road wins (10) by a goalie to start a season. Previous record holder was, Talbot, who left the game in the 2nd, because... he knew his record would be broken and didn't want to watch.
Last year we had a great goalie storie in the playoffs. The whole league was talking about it.
Atty
No that is ancient history, and the sequel seems to be cancelled.
But now we may have an even greater goalie story developing. Vancouver is developing into a goalie destination like no other city.
Desh back in the lineup means the Nucks are required to outscore his problems. Like the last game, finished with a minus -2.
DeBrusk getting his 2nd career hattie is a good start to solving the problem.
Myers, again, logged too many minutes (22:48) for his or our comfort.
Nucks all time D-points leader played 31:04. That's a lot. And a lot of points, 1 per 10 mins. Huggie put up 3 points in just over half an hour. Wow!
JR/PA are gonna have to go do some BF D-shopping, or get more hotshot forwards perhaps.
Nucks without JT in the dot were better. Won 50% of their draws. That's half way decent.
Anything else? Yes!
Hard fought Sunday morning win!

PLAYERS 'N TACO TALK
Bränny taking the presser pressure.
Hattie Jake not feeling that that pretty, but road worthy.
Taco Talks about big milestones for Huggie.
Nucks get a Sunday-sweet road win. Lotsa of ups and downs.
Not enough time to savour this beautiful get-lead-lose-lead-tie-score win game. Nucks gotta swing into Minni to face an actual good team on Tuesday.
