THIS IS WHY WE DON'T LIKE ANY PERIODS OF HOCKEY
At least the new (improved) Nucks don't seem to.
Nucks lose their 2nd home game of the season, in possibly not the worst way. But for the 2nd straight game give up the lead in the 3rd. Remember that Nucks team last season with their 42-4 stretch record when leading going into the 3rd? Me neither.
And worse... the Montreal-based server that we run NM on - yes, on the semi-cheap - choked early Friday afternoon. Their support team left the data center early, because in old Montreal, the internet is closed on long weekends. Sorry for the disruption. And the ability to type our dismay, our disgust as we are wont to do.
Good news! The Nucking PP is back to shooting pop-darts. That's if they can manage to get into the zone to shoot. Went ZERO for 5 on the night, altho looked pretty good in the 1st. Score on a couple of those chances and the Nucks win the game. Until the beginning of the 3rd. On the other side of the special teams the Nucks PK gave up a 1st period PP tally to allow Philly to carry a tie in to the 2nd.
Lose a game and lose a D? Or it lose a D and lose a game?
Shit...faeries... myers down... looks like a knee... hope he's ok...

Sure didn't look good and Myers left the game in the 1st and didn't return. And no further updates at this point disgruntled point in the coverage.
In the 2nd with the game on the line and Myers not on the line, Forbort sets up a great goal by Teddy.
Blueger gets one, 2-1 nucks.

The Nucks seemed like they could keep the lead... pretty much outplayed the Flys 5-on-5 for the 1st 40.. However... early in the 3rd... Sprong overplays his man - or underplays - or something Taco will explain later. Puck goes whistling into the net and out - no goal. Phew. Nucks dodge that one and zip down into the visitor's end. Then the horn of doom sounds.
2-2 with a zillion minutes left to play. A zillion minutes for the Nucks to regain the lead. Or maybe it was only 17 minutes. Whatever. Nucks can't get it done in the reg.
Another loser point. Yay!
Nucks get some chances in OT, unlike last game. But no goal, just like last game.
Off to skillz section of the program. Where the goalies showed off their skillz... until the Flying Frost got the winner past Lanky.
Nucks lose at home, again. 0-0-2 on the season.
OBSERVATIONS
Sprong got another late game bench break in the 3rd after his defensive gaffs on the tying goal.
But he wasn't the worst player on the Nucks. Reserving our scathing comments for the top lines. Because they didn't deliver top 6 results. Best player on the team was Gnarly. Most meh player on the team, Pete, who got demoted to seemingly the 3rd line. Hey... maybe we can have the highest paid 3rd line center in hockey. Exciting!
Good goalie news as Lanky played very well. Not game-stealing well, but didn't allow 6, only 3 against. The net is his, until Demmers or the playoffs or the golf season or something.

GAME STATS
PLAYERS 'N TACO TALK
Lanky is loving to play in the ROG.
Forbort who made the untying goal in the 2nd possible, stepping up to meet the media with Pepto talk.
Soup is on the mic.
Taco Talks tough about effort and some plays/players get some calling out.
Great crappy scrappy game. NM server in trouble. My sportynet subscription feed kicking me out of Canada or something.
Nucks get a few days of Thanksgiving rest to prep for a long tedious road trip to the eastern regions of hell. So that's sounds like fun. Nucks scheduled to play in T-Bay on Tuesday... assuming T-Bay is ready for hockey.
Who cares about an unwelcome, unnecessary Game 2 loss? Let's find out.
