500 HOME RECORD IS OVERRATED
Tonight the wet coast was home to a windy wet 'bomb cyclone'. Even BC Faeries had to cancel sailings. Not before taking JT to an undisclosed location.
Nucks may not need a new home rink... but would it hurt? Also... having a full roster would be good.
Better home loss than the most recent one. So an infinitesimally small improvement.
First the good news... despite not having Demmers, Bess and now JT, Nucks didn't start horribly in the 1st. Started way better than horrible. Huggie scores the 1st goal of the game just 43 seconds in. Yay!
However, the Rags come back to tie it couple minutes later. And worse, take the lead. Just as Westy predicted. We're forked.
However, on a rush chance Pete feeds Sherwood who beats Korchesten clean and fast.
2-2 after 1. That's not so bad.
Now for the bad news...
Rags get the lead. Again. Compliments of a few seconds of Soup's 14:49 TOI. Maybe some assistance from Myers... but also some skilled forwards on the Rags. Dammit.
Doesn't matter.
Because, the Nucks have tied it up before, they can do it again.
On another rush play, while Suter is scooting to net, Josh sets up Gnarly for a sneaky goal. Wooooo! Nucks lead 3-3. We'll see later why the tie is the lead if you play your 3rd a certain way.
3-3 tie after 2. That's not so bad.
In the 3rd... the Nucks are playing for OT, because a regulation win is win too far. But an OT loss would be just fine.
We are defending the tie
Not sure how long we can do that
Atty
Turns out.... not long.
A bobble play by Pete at his blueline, turns into a turnover, which turns into the GWG for the wrong team. With special assistance from Myers and Soup's weird, but predictable, out-of-position, no-touch defending around the net. To be fair, or baffled, Pete stole the puck, but didn't turn it into a play, but a turnover. Confusing. Myers and Soup's play of recent... not that confusing... just ahem... too predictably poor.
Nucks stage a late game pushback, but not enough roster for the next tieing goal.
Rags win 4-3. Another ROG loss, just as Westy guaranteed. Thanks, Westy, you delivered!

Pete talks about the game of mistakes.
Taco Talks about playing hard - they all played hard. Hard enough tho?
Horrible home record continues. In case you missed it... ROG record is 3-5-3. Ugh. Nucks last season were one of the best home teams.
At least this disappointing 6 game homestand is over. Now the under-staffed Nucks get to head out east to face some big mean teams. Pretty sure this 3 game road trip will be the better option than another 3 home games. Surely.
