After thoroughly getting smacked by the Oilers, the Canucks try to fins a way to beat an Alberta team on home ice this year. Remember game one of the season, when the Canucks jumped out to a huge lead over the Flames, to only lose in O/T? Me Neither. But for those that do, the Canucks get a chance to even the series against a Calgary team who has gone 3-5-2 in their last 10 games. On paper, the Flames are not that good of a team, as their special teams are not special at all and they have given up 4+ goals in 7 of their games.
I am still waiting to see a complete Canucks lineup. Until "Healthy" Demko gets back, and healthy Brock....and healthy J.T......we don't really know what we team we have. The Canucks are good enough to beat most teams with this lineup, but they will struggle against Edmonton, Colorado and Dallas, with this mix and and match lineups. This fact makes a game like tonight, a must win. The middle and lower level teams have to be beaten to keep this team in the running until a complete team can get together and gel.
Jonathan Lekkerimaki gets into his first NHL game tonight as everyone celebrates Petey's birthday. What better way to celebrate than to score a hat trick against Calgary.....just sayin'.

GAME DAY BATTLE HYMN
As the rumors continue that the Canucks are looking for backend help, you have to think that some players are looking over their shoulder. No one really wants to end up in Buffalo or Pittsburgh, do they?
Get to work
