9 p.m. ET; RDS, Prime
When we first saw the season schedule many or a few of us saw this 8 game homestand and thought to ourselves, "This is where the team solidifies its playoff spot". Now, we know this is where the Nucks solidify their last place spot. Basically the same thing. Just inverted a little.
Could there be a worse way to start an eight game home losing streak than on Prime? No, there isn't. Mondays are for recovering from infractions, indiscretions of the weekend, not for more drinking and forehead slapping while yappy Muricans ruin our game just by making mouth noises.
Oh well... no one said that losing would be much fun. We can only hope that thousands of fans stay home and the ROG sets a new record for low attendance. That might motivate Franny to fire the incompetent management he hired. Or just rearrange the deckchairs in his restaurants.
We might see our new hockey giant, six foot-nine, Curtis Douglas in the lineup. Kane would have to be scratched for that to happen. Would that be so bad?
GAME DAY CHATTER
As per #Canucks Adam Foote, Kane, Boeser and Douglas are game time decisions. Will have to wait for warmups to see which two are playing.

Bench Kane for the rest of the season, please.

Will #Canucks official attendance dip below 18,000 tonight for the first time this season? They posted a season-low 18,004 last game against Carolina and have their three lowest totals of the year in their last three games. Something to watch.

It’s so juvenile for Allvin to go for big man to protect young men. And wasn’t Kane supposed to be that guy? Anyway, I don’t know Douglas. Surprise me Allvin, make me happy…or at least make me less disgusted.

Chabot moves up into Sanderson’s spot on the top pair, and Matinpalo will enter the lineup for the first time in 12 games. … Reimer will start in goal for the first time in six games. … Kane, a forward, was not at the morning skate and Boeser left early, but Canucks coach Adam Foote said they were “just taking care of a couple things” and “should be fine.” … Douglas, a forward claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday, skated on the right side of Kane’s line at the morning skate and will make his Vancouver debut if either Kane or Boeser can’t play.
