Yes, it was a terrible loss. Although it didn't start that way. In fact it started with a shot of false hope as former-fan-fav and fascist-state supporter took a pass from EP40 and scored on Arty barely a minute in. No, not Kane, the other one in the photo op, Garland.

Nucks led for nearly 10 minutes and might have extended their lead... before the Pens tie. 1-1 after 1.

In the 2nd, Nucks preserve the tie for almost 15 minutes. Then the wheels fell off the Nucks road game 3 wheeler.

Pens scored 3 unanswered goals in about 3 dismaying minutes. Pens lead 4-1 after 2. Outshot the Nucks 14-3 in the most disgusting period since the other disgusting period.

jeez...complete collapse.

On the SO CANUCKS front, Sid's goal pushed him past Lemieux for the all-time points record on the Pens. You're welcome, Sid... BTW, we're looking for a good veteran center. Have your agent call JR now. Or at least answer JR's calls.

In the final disappointing period, Nucks only gave up a single goal. Lose the game 5-1, and the dream of a road sweep through the eastern gulags of hockey.

Woulda been nice to see lankinen make a couple more saves...

Not an unexpected loss, according the experts across, in or under the Nucking nation. But still...

looks like Demko might be playing 60+ games this year

OBSERVATIONS:

It would have been better if this was a tight closely fought game, all game. Especially with the special teams. It wasn't. Nucks PK, sans Teddy and Demmers gave up 2 goals. The Nucks PP played 6 minutes of futile time going zippety-do-dah for 3. Petey was winning faceoffs at a 24% rate. Uncertain if that rate is a winning one.

But still... must be something [excuses] something we can enjoy...

We had 8 guys tonight playing for the #Canucks who could just as easily be playing in Abby. Well EP25 is probably above Abby. PO Joseph is not. Debrusk invisible. Kane couldn't finish. No offense from our bottom 4 D. Throw this game in the trash. At least we didn't waste a Demko start on this loss.

I still stand by this comment after the final horn. It was a terrible result, but I still feel like the #Canucks gave it what they had left to give. I put this loss squarely on the management.

Game started with Petey and Garland looking great. The Calder line was good. Bains looked confident with the puck. Karlsson was going to the net. 2nd half not sure what happened. Refs were bad and I guess killed the flow of our game. All lines had problems. Quinn is gonna be centre soon #Canucks

Canucks on a road trip that began with a fucking back to back that made them fly from Dallas to Chicago and then made them play a game at 9 in the morning 2 days after that I think they're just fucking wiped. #Canucks

No rest for the exhausted as the Nucks are going to Tune Town for, thankfully, the final game of this road trip.

Do they have enough left in the tank and enough AHL callups to win or pickup a loser point? Maybe. Maybe not.
