Good news... Nucks messed with Texas and won!
Not a great 1st period... down 2 goals... one of them an unfortunate deflection by EP40.
But go out to the store for coffee during the 2nd and the Nucks score 4 goals! No, really.
As poorly as the Nucks played in the 1st (except Demmers), they came alive in the 2nd. Which is better than not.
Canucks actually playing hockey in the 2nd period

Chytil corals a stretch pass from Kane, gets behind the D and the puck gets behind our fav former goalie.
Few minutes later, and I'm not making it up, Nucks PP score their 1st PP tally of the season. Classic tip of Brock's stick from a deliberate shot pass from Huggie. Pete with an apple.
Canucks PP works

Next up, a Cup winner and fresh callup from Abby, Max scores from a stretch pass from Myers. Nucks leading 3-2!
When the Canucks play Dallas, it's always a fast paced game. The Canucks like the back and forth. The grind in the corners game is the one they struggle with right now.

Even better, the newly configured Petey, Gnarly and O'Connor line are creating havoc. As Gnarly is wont to do. As Pete is battling for the puck on the boards, a Star sends a clearing pass... a pass transformed into a giveaway. Gnarly dekes the DD and scores on a shocked, possibly DeOutraged, DeSmith.
Conor Garland. Conor Garland. This is fun. Even with the ref trying to keep us down. #Canucks

Nucks lead 4-2 after 2. No, really.
In the 3rd Nucks keep the lead against a very potent Dallas team. As ever, Myers takes a penalty late - with 3 minutes to go. A weak call for being too tall, but still.. Stars go 6-on-4 to score to get within one.
However, Dallas gets a penalty, yet leave the net unoccupied and Huggie occupies it with a puck sent with mustard and special sauce from his own end.
Canucks WIN on the ROAD! 5-3 over the, until now, undefeated Stars!
OBSERVATIONS:
Footey's new line mix-up seems brilliant. If they had lost... well... not so much. But Petey and Gnarly really worked well together. Gnarland might have had a hattie tonight. Maybe keep this line together for a bit...
Elias Pettersson and Conor Garland just work as a duo. Should stay together this season for the #Canucks

Pete was blocking shots, getting bruises and accolades.
#Canucks center Elias Pettersson has been a difference maker in this game. Selke-like performance tonight.

As ever, the NM game thread sees the big wholistic picture. I need to go to the store for coffee more often.
You're out of coffee again....go

For others it's a bit more personal.
Once again, I have tied my emotional wellbeing to the #Canucks… and I feel great! 😃

Great comeback. Not saying vital comeback... but close enough.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS
John and Dave calling a win! On the road!
GAME STATS
COMMENTING OUT LOUD
Multi-point Gnarland having a statement game.
Footey calm and cool after pulling off a genius line swap.
An unexpected win? Perhaps. However, this isn't the same lineup we saw lose the previous 2 games. Can this new roster win 2 in a row? Why not?
Don't have to wait long. Tomorrow Nucks are in that Chicago hellhole to face.... you know who...
The #Canucks face Jason Dickinson tomorrow for the first time since he injured Filip Chytil. Guessing there might be some fireworks early.
