Great News! Canucks Only Need To Kick Jets Out And Basement Suite Is Theirs again.

Bad news... Nucks may never win at home. Ever again.

Here's what we learned: The ROG is the toughest rink the Nucks have to play in. They are on course to set a historic record - already in the top 10 of worst home record in the cap era.

Period 1

This game started really well. Outshot Philly 10-0 in the 1st 12 minutes.

After that great start with the Flies on the ropes, Nucks can kick back and not get another shot on goal in the other half of the period.

Of course, Philly ties it up since the Nucks have expended all their energy.

Oh... and non-fan fav, Kane had a fight... that didn't spark the team.

Geez Kane didn't even get a shot off in that fight.

Period 2

In the 2nd, the period of the long change. Leads to the period of the long night.

Nucks get hemmed in their end early and Phill scores to take the 2-1 lead... which they extend late in the period because the Nucks are tired and can't defend during the longest period of the game.

Also.... could be strategy at play that we mere fans of the team can't comprehend.

Finally in the final period, Nucks trailing 3-1, can jump out to the early one goal down trail to pump up the False Creek hope.

Barely a minute in and O'Connor scores after some net front scrambling and miffled shot from your Kampf.

Drew O'Connor is the second #Canucks player to hit double digits in goals this season.

I don't know if Foote ever tears a strip off anybody but he needs to, and not with the young guys. They are expected to make some mistakes. The veterans need to stop all the mistakes and step up like the few guys that are showing up every night. Trying hard is not enough. #Canucks

OBSERVATIONS:

Nucks were great for 15 minutes of the game. Gassed and confused for the rest. Is that how you spell tank?

Players of Interest:

• Rossi was awful: -3, 2SA's, 1SOG, 2 giveaways, 1 blocked shot, 50% FO's in the 3rd lowest TOI of the forward group.
• EP40 was weak on the puck, on the boards, on the PP, Faceoffs: 7–10 (41.2%), SA: 3, Shots : 2
• After being scratched, DeBrusk was playing with some pace, had some good chances, that - as ever - he couldn't bury.
• And Brock?

Brock may have to go on waiver...
