Great News! Sherry Gets A Hattie! 3rd Straight Nucks Regulation Win!

Bad news... No-Huggie Nucks leap out of the basement onto the mezzanine floor of losing.

Here's what we learned: While we were worried that Demmers would knock the stealth tank off track - he's got a few co-conspirators.

Period 1

Again... you won't believe this. I don't. But for the 2nd 3rd straight game, Canucks won it in the 1st period. We knew the Nucks of November were capable of losing a game in the 1st, but winning their 3rd straight in the 1st? Unpossible!

Until now. Staying on the not possible side of the goal line, the Nucks temp 1C did what few expected. Scored! A nice one at that. Beat SirRokie in close.

Neither he nor the Nucks are finished spanking the reeling Isles. Despite the inability of the Isles to score with their 5-on-3 PP, the Nucks do score on their traditional 5-on-4.

Again it's Sherwood scoring on his 2nd shot of the game - with a sneaky sweet setup from Ronnie.

Period 2

Nothing untoward occurred during the 2nd, Isles couldn't solve the impenetrable Nucks PK and Demko on 2 attempts.

Canucks didn't run up the score either. So that was a little disappointing.

Canucks start the 3rd with the commanding 3 goal lead. A lead they wouldn't give up until the every crafty Roy pulled his goalie with over 5 mins to go.

Due to some between-the-legs passing trickery by Richie - which should have been a penalty, because it was so show-offy - the showoff pass shows up on Lee's stick and past Demko, before we could shout: "No fair!"

Don't care.

Roy is apply more 6-on-5ishness and that's just too greedy.

Because someone else is even more greedy. Sherwood pots his 3rd goal on his 3rd shot of the game. Almost natural hattie for the 5 Million dollar man. His 2nd hat of the season.

• Nucks are on the way up - 30th now... 20th for March?
• Maybe they shoulda traded Huggie sooner.
• Rossi is looking very good. Once he and Bess find their combo mojo - gonna be scoriffic.

Dreams of the 1st pick are looking less dreamy, tho.
