No worries, in the 2nd, the Nucks score 2 goals! Yay! All the goals from Sherwood! Yay! A shortie and a longie!
Unfortunately for us, the Blues score 3. One from our former player-of-all-trades, Suter.

In the 3rd the Nucks played better and Lanky didn't give up goal. His empty net did, however.
While the Nucks pushed for the next-best-thing to a tie, they were thwarted.

To be fair, the Nucks super stable D, were caught being wobbly. Or just caught up ice too often. Or something.
While Quinn had some good end-to-end rushes - at least one - his 26+ minutes ended with 5 shots and a -3 plus/minus.
Like Kief, Gnarly was playing with intensity and had 5 shots, if one or all 5 go in, I'd be in a better mood.
What about the Cootes line? Well... they got owned. Lekky had no shots, Cootes had none and O'Connor had one. The other team had more. Many more,
It's been three games now and the Lekkerimäki/Cootes combo is just not working. In the 22:03 5-on-5 minutes they've played together, the #Canucks have... - 28.26 Corsi % - Outshot 14-4 - Outchanced 18-4 - 9.28(!!) xGoals Share Not good.

We didn't see all bad things all game... so there's some silver embroidery on the edges.

Special teams... Nucks PK only allowed a single goal in 6 minutes and picked up a shortie. So that's good in the break-evens thingie. The Nucks PP? Well... only got a single call all freakin' game and didn't allow a single GA. Not horrible.
We're not looking for excuses. Yet. But just in case...
