Faery News... Gnarly playing for the IR team.
Bad news... Lose 2-Nothing to the worst team in the east.
Garland not on the bench... fucking faeries... they're killing us this season.

With a depleted roster and tired AHL callups, Footey decided to bag skate the team to prep for this exhausting game. Great prep work, coach!
The return of the JT to face Petey buildup was a nothing burger. Because the Nucks were too exhausted to care? Or the Rags too old and slow to care?
Wow! The #canucks players despised JT Miller so much they didn’t even bother showing up for his return to Vancouver!

Nucks got stifled by the old and slow Rags... and worse, got scored on after some keystone kops play from some old and young Nucks.
Rags lead 1-0 after 1. In this dull game, it was the safest lead in hockey.
In the 2nd, Nucks put on a not-that-entertaining puck bobbling exhibition. Couldn't buy a clean pass, never mind a clean shot on the Rags old goalie.
2nd period summary... Nucks playing keystone kops puck giveaway scrambly nucking discombobulated hockey.

In the 3rd, the Nucks continue to look more tired and less determined than the raggedly ragged Rags.
And worse, the Nucks have lost their sparkplug. Gnarly didn't return after getting injured by a goon sponsored by BC Faeries. At least Brock was back on the bench after getting his face stitched up from the Nucks PP, whose best deflection hit Brock in the mouth. It was that kind of game.
In the final few minutes the Nucks go on the PP without a goal, then 6-on-5 without a goal, but the EN against.
Nucks lose a low energy game 2-zip to a low energy team. Not Demmer's fault. Again, he was brilliant, unlike his teammates.
And worse... the SO goes to the Nucks' nemesis since the beginning of the century, possibly the previous century, Jonathan 'Ageless' Quick.
OBSERVATIONS:
Demko was great! Willander looked good. Without Gnarly in the 3rd, Nucks looked like their energy left the ice as well.
Kane was playing like expected. Drew a penalty, took an O-zone penalty, did get a shot on goal and, as expected was on the ice for both goals against. If only the Faeries were attracted to stupid.
Am I awful for hoping that Kane gets injured and goes on LTIR so the #Canucks can use his cap hit more… effectively?

Nope…

This was a game the Nucks really, really missed Huggie. Ronnie was good at the start, but by the late 3rd after 28 minutes or so, he was all exhaustion and brainfarts - sending a pass far, far up the ice on the Nucks PP - not a stretch pass, just a silly icing.
Last season: “everything that could go wrong went wrong. There’s nowhere to go but up. This season: “challenge accepted” #Canucks

The best way to describe the #Canucks right now is frustrating. The amount of injuries they are dealing with is wild. While there are a couple reason's why they lost tonight, missing seven players plus Garland 100% played a factor in this game.

#Canucks Stars vs Rangers 1. Demko solid performance 2. Hronek solid performance 3. Not Applicable Game Note. I had EP40 pencilled in at #3 huge ice time big time faceoff wins but but but letting in open net goal was so miscalculated.

What is the point of having high priced offensive talent when your system is all defense? That is the most boring Rangers hockey I think I have ever seen here. Get better quick Quinn. And Chytil. #Canucks

COMMENTING OUT LOUD
Demmer gets the mic-light for his near SO.
Sherwood explains why he declined getting a hattie.
Footey explains why the Nucks were as flat as his nose.
Terrible team game - what's left of the team. Horrible news about Gnarly.
And it doesn't matter, because the NHL is death-marching the AHL Nucks through the compressed Olympic schedule grinder.
Nucks are back on the road to face the Blues on Thursday. Will the Faeries relinquish one of our 8 by then? We can hope.
