The torture of the playoffs continue tonight. I say torture due to the fact the Canucks are not there. Patrik Allvin was answering questions about Miller/Petey fiasco...and it gives Kent chest pain as he thinks about the incompetence of management.
LAST NIGHT'S ACTION
EDMONTON BEATS LAS VEGAS 5-4 IN O/T (Edmonton leads 2-0)
The Golden Knights have made too many mistakes against an Oilers team that has the speed to make you pay quickly. The Vegas defense has looked suspect on a bunch of plays and 5 minute misconducts don't help. I won't count out Vegas, but the Oilers have found a way to win in both games so far. It's either going 7 games or it will be a sweep. With the next two games in Edmonton....I think it might be the latter.
WASHINGTON BEATS CAROLINA 3-1 (Series tied 1-1)
The Caps capitalized (get it) on mistakes and powerplays to get a win in a back and forth game without many shots. The Canes are going to have to find ways to break out faster and get more bodies in front of Thompson.
TONIGHT'S ACTION
Eastern Conference Second Round, Game 3
7 p.m. ET
Toronto leads best-of-7 series 2-0
The Panthers must be happy to get out of Canada. The defending cup champs have not been able to body their way through the series and have been outplayed. The Leafs seem to have found some sort of groove and maybe the sand and sun won't stop them this year. We'll see.

Western Conference Second Round, Game 2
9:30 p.m. ET
Dallas leads best-of-7 series 1-0
This game was close all the way and then in the 2nd period in the span of 2 minutes, it wasn't. And then the Jets got to within one, but just couldn't get one passed Oettinger. Winnipeg desperately needs to get the split before the teams head to Dallas.

Game Day Battle Hymn
I am hoping Winnipeg finds a way to split the series tonight....they need to get the Led out.
