The focus of the hockey world turns to Edmonton as the quest to name a champion comes down to two deeply and almost comically unlikable teams. Yay? And down in Texas, the Abbotsford Canucks look to get back on track as they take on the Stars in Game Four of the AHL Western Conference Finals.
EDMONTON OILERS vs FLORIDA PANTHERS
ROGERS PLACE, EDMONTON, AB
5:00 PM PST/ 8:00 PM EST
TV: SPORTSNET, CBC
Can the Panthers repeat as champions? Can the Oilers bring the Cup back to Canada for the first time since 1993? Apart from the socio-political implications, should any of us even give a shit? Ah, the Stanley Cup Finals.
Two utterly detestable squads going head to head for the second straight time, in the utter epitome of the Gary Bettman era. One of his Southern States darlings taking on the biggest recipient of the NHL's failure welfare program. We get it if you can't bring yourself to watch this, and to be honest, my focus isn't gonna be laser sharp here.

Connor Brown will return to the lineup for the Oilers tonight. One thing to watch is how short a leash they're going to give Stuart Skinner. Anything apart from a razor thin loss should see them make the switch to Calvin Pickard, one would have to think.
ABBOTSFORD CANUCKS (2-1) vs TEXAS STARS (1-2)
H-E-B CENTER, CEDAR PARK, TX
5:00 PDT/ 8:00 EDT
RADIO: SPORTSNET 650 TV: FLOHOCKEY.TV
After a couple absolute nailbiters at home to take the 2-0 series lead, I was worried there might be a bit of a letdown as the series shifted over to Texas and that was definitely the case in that 5-2 loss in Game Three. They've had a couple days to shake it off and get back to the things that have been working for this team since about a month before the playoffs have started. They've yet to lose two games in a row this post season, and have responded to losses with solid, convincing wins each time.
