KRAKEN (0-0-0) at CANUCKS (0-0-0)

It's the Nucking 1st game of the season! The whatever pre-season. The coaching 'n cutting season.
This fledgling cross border rivalry is about as riveting as a soggy day in False Creek. Maybe in a few more years, after the Nucks have won their 1st Cup and Seatown have won some more lotteries, they might have some simmering puck soup between them or something.
Finally we get to see what all the summer wheeling and dealing JR/PA has brought us.
In a way, we're excited to see this new roster refresh in action. In another way, we're not keen to not see Demmers... for... ummm... 3 to 16 weeks or ?
Kevin Woodley revealed Demko's unknown knee injury today on Halford & Brough sportynet show.
There is no longer uncertainty about what it is,” revealed Woodley this morning. “So you guys can get your WebMD out and look up Popliteus, it is a thin triangle shaped muscle behind the back of the knee. That evidently is where the injury occurred.”
“When you first look it up one of the first things you’ll see is the healing time is anywhere from 3 to 16 weeks,” said Woodley with a laugh. “Nothing like nailing it down right? There is that much uncertainty with that injury.”
So... no Demmers for this game. Please check back early or later. Much later.
