10 p.m. ET; SNP, NBCSP
Game 1 is in the books and I for one went through the whole emotional roller coaster.
1st period: Fuckin' eh....these guys are flying there. I wish they would stop giving up stupid 5 on 3 goals.
2nd period: Umm....where are the chances and goals we saw in the first?
3rd period: Hockey gods....why have you forsaken us? At least Miller woke up for a second...after his average defensive plays. When is Demko coming back?
O/T: Well....that's about right.
Giving away 1 point right off the bat to start the year, in that fashion, should lead to a Travis Green bag skate.
So tonight, the Canucks face a Philly team that really shouldn't scare anyone and yet the Canucks never do well against the Flyers and they don't play well against Torts. I'm pretty sure John yells "Soft" every time the Canucks touch the puck. The Canucks are 5-8-1 in their last 14 against the Flyers and 3-4 at home. That does not inspire confidence. I'm sure the term, "Full 60 minutes" will be overused in all the interviews today.

Game Day Chatter
Twitter is a nasty place of Petey and Silovs hate. Let me rephrase that. There is a lot of posts saying "Petey want to trade Petey already!"......but not a lot of posts that I saw that actually said, "Trade Petey"
Did you know that Arturs Silovs is 6'4......I would have thought by the amount of shots that got over his blocker, that he was the second coming of Marky. Big goalies that drop so early into the butterfly, drive me crazy....and it seems that the internet isn't too found of it as well.
Maybe...could he...suit up for tonight. Just in case. But don't let him choose his sticks.
Game Day Battle Hymn
I try and stay away from the metal genre as I am an ignorant fool. But I sure like a song that has a fast pace to it. It's seem like rock has evolved over time to a softer kinder place....pass. So let's go back in to angrier Gordon Sumner.
60 minutes is not just a T.V. show....it's how long the Canucks need to stay awake in this game.
Go Canucks Go!
