Finally. A season deciding high stakes game against a division bottom-feeding rival. So far the Nucks have kept interlopers out of their loss-filled domain. This afternoon, basement dominance is on the line.

No, it's not. But it's NM faux drama Saturday. Blues are having a poor season. Not as poor as the Nucks, who trail Saint Louis and their weirdo goaltender by 15 points.

Will Nucks be trailing by more points or less by the time we attempt to match Westy's rummy record tonight?

Not important. What is important is the play and ice-time of the new Nucks as they learn from one of worst coaches in Nucking history. Can they learn good lessons from a bad coach?

Don't know. Don't care. Just play well and lose well Canucks. Maybe find some meaning in a game without any.

Tucker, a defenseman, did not practice Friday after leaving in the third period of a 2-1 shootout loss at the Calgary Flames on Wednesday; if Tucker cannot play, Holl would be the likely replacement, but Kessel, a defenseman, also rotated in. … Blues coach Jim Montgomery said he might also make one change to the forwards but Walker, Berggren and Sundqvist skated together on a line during practice Friday and appear to be scratches for a second straight game. … Montgomery did not name a starting goalie, but Binnington is expected to start after Hofer made 30 saves at Calgary. … Canucks coach Adam Foote would not reveal line changes or his goalie after practice Friday but did say that Hronek, who did not practice, is expected to play.
