The Canucks leave the safety of New York and head into Massachusetts looking for 4 in a row.
7 p.m. ET; NHLN, NESN, SNP, SN360
This team....I tell ya...this team.
Have you ever been in a relationship that you didn't have high expectations for and they said, "Hey, life isn't going my way right now, but it will turn around." and then it got worse. And to your astonishment, they tried a Hail Mary play of getting rid of the thing that kept you around in the first place!
And it seemed to have worked.....for the moment. Don't be fooled.

This team may look like a better team and the three wins away from home sure might convince some that this is more of a "team" now that the best player is gone.
But what's really happening here is that this team is fucking around with us....again.
The Canucks are no longer in dead last place. They are in 30th.

You heard me. This team that is winning games, is screwing it's chances of getting 1st overall and Gavin McKenna. Have you seen McKenna play? I have....Penn St. and the warm up World Junior game.....he's good at hockey. But he won't be there at 3rd overall dammit!!
But Westy.....this team is winning without Hughes or Petey.....they looked very good with their smothering offensive zone play...their powerplay and a penalty kill that is no longer last in the league.
No offence to the East....well, I guess I actually do mean offence.....they are weak compared to some of the West coast team this year. And this Canucks team just sucks at home. Winning these games now is giving false hope to those who look at the standings and say, "We're only 6 points out of a playoff spot!" I want you to know that Francesco thinks the same way, but he gets playoff money if it happens. You get a team that has no shot to get past the 1st round and some more false hope.
Westy's Canuck fan brain
"Wow...this team has been fun to watch over the past 3 games....they are a team. All 4 lines are hustling. I wonder how this team can claws its way back into the race?"
The pragmatist in me wants to gets a get pick for Sherwood, Demko and add some more youth.
The realist in me doesn't think GMPA is listening to me.
I do want a win Boston. Fuck Boston. But I want a loss as well....fuck 3rd overall pick.
Mental conflict!!!

Canucks Game Day Battle Hymn
Not trying to make connections to the Canucks and the song today. Just want to put out some good rock and roll from today. And the old man in me is finding it harder to find artists who can get me taping my foot.
Go Canucks Go!
