The All-Star break is done and now we get into the nitty-gritty part of the schedule. The Canucks start February with 4 road games against Eastern Conference teams and end the trip with a stop in Chicago. I covered my feelings on the All-Star festivities and the trade in the podcast, so let's move on.
Vancouver starts the trip in Carolina against a team that has gone 7-2-1 in their last 10 games and is 15-5-4 at home. The only other meeting this year had the Canucks winning 4-3 in Van. The Canes are a better team when it comes to special teams with a PP at 28% and a PK at 84.2%. The Canes have gone 14-3-4 since the last meeting against the Nucks, so Hot Rod has got his team back on message.
Taco has has a new piece to the puzzle and he spoke about what see so far and how Lindholm could be used.
Coach also had some thoughts on Miky and what he needs to do to get going.

Game Day Battle Hymn
The discussion over the selection of this song is awesome! It was brought up that the Battle Hymn has a purpose to it....to get people hyped up for the game. I get behind this. I will shift gears a bit and go back to the old days when I played sports and choose some songs that did that job for teams I was on. And then we can let the debate begin as to the worthiness of the song.
So let's begin
These last 33 games are the part of the year that used to have us saying, "Let it end!" Now we hope the injury faeries keep busy with other teams and the team we face in the first round is slumping.
Go Canucks Go!
